🌻 Update on Sunflower Field Mini Sessions 🌻
Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you well and easing into the beauty of the late summer season.
I’m reaching out today with some news that I wish I didn’t have to share. After weeks of monitoring and planning, I’ve had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Sunflower Field Mini Sessions. This was not an easy call to make, especially knowing how excited many of you were — and how much I was looking forward to capturing beautiful moments among the golden blooms.
Unfortunately, the sunflower field I was planning to use this year simply hasn’t grown as we had hoped. Despite the field owner’s best efforts and all the usual preparations, nature had other plans. Whether due to unpredictable weather, soil conditions, or other environmental factors, the sunflowers didn’t thrive this season, and the field won’t be in a suitable condition for photo sessions.
As many of you know, I always strive to create the best possible experience for my clients — not just in terms of the final photos, but the entire session from start to finish. I want every session to feel magical, fun, and memorable. And unfortunately, with the current state of the field, I just don’t feel it would meet the standard that I hold myself to, or the experience you deserve.
I completely understand that this may be disappointing news, especially if you were looking forward to these sessions as part of your yearly tradition, or had been planning around them. Please know that I share in that disappointment, and I’m so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
That said, I’m incredibly hopeful and optimistic about the future! If conditions are better next year — and fingers crossed they will be — I will absolutely try again to bring these sunflower sessions back. I’m already in conversation with the field owner about future plans, and I’m committed to making these sessions happen when everything aligns just right. I promise to keep you updated well in advance if next year looks promising.
In the meantime, I’ll still be offering a variety of other seasonal sessions that I’m incredibly excited about — so if you’re still looking to book a session this year, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d love to work with you to create beautiful memories, even if it’s not among the sunflowers this time.
Thank you so much for your continued support, understanding, and trust. Being able to do what I love and work with such a kind, thoughtful community means more to me than I can express. Your patience and grace never go unnoticed, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you.
Warmly, Ashalea Joann @ Indulgent Invisions Photography
